Congratulations to Pete Schwartz for being awarded Koch’s August Driver of the Month! Pete is a local driver and has been driving with Koch since February of 2008. His August nomination came from Safety Director, Dave Dailey:

“I would like to take this time to nominate driver Pete Schwartz for the Koch Driver of the Month. As the Safety Director, I feel that Pete repeatedly goes above and beyond his job as a driver for Koch. When we implemented and changed our Qualcomm system and added electronic hours of service, Pete helped in the training of new and current drivers. Pete ran one of the 6 test unites that we had and was very successful in communication with everyone in the positives and negatives of the unit. On behalf of the safety department, Pete is always there when you could use an extra hand. Several times, which are too many to remember, he will give up home time to help us with anything, whether it’s working with a driver, helping road tests, training drivers for the truck driving championships. Any time Pete has down time or his truck is in the shop, he will always stop by our office to see if he can help in any way. From our side, he always shows a positive attitude and carries a smile on his face. He takes good care of his equipment and is a great representative of the company. Many times I find myself telling Pete ‘thank you’ for what he does. He is truly deserving of this great award.”
